WHO IS NCBPA?

Organized on May 14th, 1980, and incorporated in California June 16th, 1984, the Northern California Backflow Prevention Association is composed of representatives of various water agencies, related organizations and individuals who have an interest in backflow prevention and cross-connection control. The primary purpose of the Association is to provide members with a broad understanding of the principles of backflow prevention and to recommend standards of practice and application of approved backflow prevention devices.

A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT
IRWIN "OLE" OLSON JR.

Greetings, and welcome to our new website! I wanted to take a moment to share some of the latest developments within our organization and recent NCBPA events.

Dear Members, Vendors, and Friends of NCBPA,

On behalf of the Northern California Backflow Prevention Association, I am pleased to invite you to this year’s Annual Product Show and BBQ, which will be held at Rankin Park in Martinez.

This event is always one of the highlights of our year—a chance to gather as a community, connect with fellow professionals, meet our valued vendors, and enjoy some great food in a relaxed setting. We encourage you to bring your colleagues and take advantage of this opportunity to network, share ideas, and learn more about the latest products and innovations in our field.

Accreditation Update

In addition to preparing for this year’s show, I’d like to share an important update about NCBPA’s continued growth. We are actively working with a consultant based here in the Bay Area to acquire ANSI accreditation.

This step is vital in ensuring that our certifications and programs meet the highest standards of quality, credibility, and recognition. While the process takes time and careful preparation, we are excited about the progress we are making and will continue to share updates with you as we move forward.

Thank You

Your ongoing support and participation make these efforts possible, and we are grateful for the trust you place in NCBPA.

We look forward to seeing you at Rankin Park for our Annual Product Show and BBQ—and to updating you soon on our progress toward ANSI accreditation.

With appreciation,

Irwin "Ole" Olson Jr.
President
Northern California Backflow Prevention Association
